A taste of Spring

Commencement; the end of one thing and the beginning of something new.

Like the rosebud of a flower or the sweet taste of spring, awakening on that first morning of warmth to discover the soft afterglow of the periwinkle dawn that lurks just beyond the edges of your tongue. Droplets from the blooming flowers of Spring drip off into pear-shaped puddles that lie beneath the misty dew of the morning air and encircle themselves below the gravel-ridden driveways that serve as wishing wells for the seasonally disaffected inhabitants of a freshly awakened suburban America.

Leave all of yesterday behind. Spring bursts through a halo of grey winter clouds surrounded by an intoxicating blend of violence and grace. Confidence is gained as newly felt emotions arrive and flee in an instant. The alluring pulse of Springs well-worn glow reminds us that it is easier to fall in love than it is to stay in love. Like a fire sparked by passion, it’s flames fan higher and higher and ultimately consume our soul. The taste of Spring overpowers our senses, harkening us back to blissful memories of eternal youth. A sense of renewal, a layered duality that mirrors the changes masked by the arrival of Spring each year.

The warm winds of Spring begin to blow, breathing new breaths of air throughout all the changes in time. The changing seasons of life; the changes in ourselves.
