I cast all my hexes in the void of the moon
so they can’t go anywhere.

it makes me feel better
but I need them to fail
because I’m not allowed to

strike you down

no matter how vapid or rabid
I’m not allowed to…
though I’ve no doubt I could.

I am becoming formidable.

I cast all my blessings at the dark of the moon
because everyone I know could use a new beginning,
and it’s nice sometimes to be alone
and be the only glow in the room.

I will reap what I chose to sow.

may you also come to know many things.

I close my eyes and I can hear forever
forever sounds a little like the ocean.

no one will ever know the sacrifice
cost only a tear at the edge of my heart
like a bookmark
reminding me…

something beautiful

the man with the black book comes around again
always asking me am I saved?Always I answer
“Sir, I don’t know what that means.”

all I know is…

I am safe.
